Today, I decided to start a blog. This idea has actually been with me for a long time. It wasn’t a sudden impulse, but a gradually growing feeling — like life is happening around me, yet so many moments quietly pass by without leaving a trace. Time moves fast, and memories fade. Sometimes, I suddenly recall a day from years ago, yet I can’t remember what I was thinking, worrying about, or what made me happy. Those moments that once felt so important seem never truly preserved. So I thought, maybe I need a place where time moves a little slower.
Social media records what is meant to be “seen.” A blog, on the other hand, is more like a “conversation.” Here, I don’t need algorithms pushing my content, nor do I need to cater to anyone’s preferences. It’s simply a quiet space to write about thoughts from today, new things I’ve learned recently, work-related challenges, occasional emotional ups and downs, or just ordinary daily life. Many of these writings may never be seen by others, but that’s okay. What matters is that one day, in the future, I can look back and see myself clearly.
This blog won’t have a fixed theme. It may include life journaling, learning and personal growth, observations about the world, work experiences and lessons, and occasional essays and reflections. It is more like a long-term diary, not a website that needs to be professional or perfect. I hope this space can remain authentic, not overly polished.
Perhaps in a few months, I will forget why I started today. Perhaps one day, I will pause updating for a long time. Perhaps this blog will gradually accumulate a lot of words. But at least, at this moment, I choose to begin. If my future self reads this post someday, I hope I can remember: everything starts from an ordinary day. No special reason, just a choice to live sincerely.
Hello, Blog. Hello, Future Me.
